Sarah Preisser, Founder
Sarah Preisser founded Mindset Talent to bring Fortune 500 leading edge talent practices to small and mid-sized business, public sector, and non-profit sector clients.
Prior to establishing Mindset Talent, Sarah spent 21 years with Accenture, a global technology and management consulting organization, with 10 years in management consulting and 11+ years focused on designing and implementing talent strategies impacting 480,000 employees in 54 countries. Sarah’s experience ranges from innovative recruitment programs to new career frameworks and compensation models, to leadership development programs. Sarah has designed and led numerous leadership development programs over the course of her career, travelling to Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, the Philippines and India.
Sarah was trained in Design Thinking and Agile development through Accenture’s “Five School” at the Dock in Dublin, Ireland. She is a certified practitioner in human-centered design via the Luma Institute, and is certified in Designing Strategy, Activating Strategy and Human-Centered Strategy through IDEO U.
Sarah is a graduate of the Gerald Ford Institute for Public Service at Albion College and lives in East Lansing, Michigan with her husband and two children. Sarah is an avid runner, urban gardener and chicken keeper, lover of dogs and beaches and all things outdoors.
Stephanie Horton, Senior Consultant
Stephanie has 25 years of experience in public sector Human Resource Operations. She is a strategic and innovative human resource leader with proven experience as a partner to the organization in developing and driving strategic change. Her roles have focused on recruiting and retention; labor relations; diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; policy development; performance management; and leadership development. Stephanie excels in bringing people and ideas together to move an organization forward.
Stephanie graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. She has continued her professional growth through obtaining a Senior Certified Professional certificate from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). In addition, she is certified through Harvard Business School online in Design Thinking and Innovation.
Stephanie maintains several professional memberships including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Human Resources Section, and has worked on the IACP policy committee to create DEI best practices in policing.
Stephanie lives in the East Lansing Community where she has raised three children and two dogs. She currently supports the community as a member of the East Lansing Independent Police Oversight Commission (ELIPOC) and an election official.
Stephanie is a lover of learning and can be found listening to podcasts or acquiring DIY skills and putting them to the test in her home. Stephanie is a Spartan for life, supporting the MSU community and cheering on their athletic teams. She loves to stay active and can be found outdoors in East Lansing or at her home away from home in Elk Rapids, Michigan.
